The University Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology (UCATT) celebrates the end of another semester by recognizing a group of graduating student workers whose creativity, professionalism, and dedication have made a lasting impression across the organization. From welcoming visitors at the front desk to contributing to multimedia projects and communications efforts, these students have played an essential role in supporting UCATT’s mission and daily operations.

Abril Aguirre-Miranda

Among this year’s graduates is Abril Aguirre-Miranda, whose nearly three years with UCATT were marked by creativity and a strong commitment to her craft. A double major graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television and in Spanish, with a Spanish & Portuguese emphasis, Abril brought both artistic talent and intellectual curiosity to her work.

“She has been a consistent young professional, sharing her bright ideas and wonderful attitude,” said her supervisor, Jordan Chin, Digital Makerspace manager. According to Chin, Abril’s passion for storytelling and creative expression extended beyond the workplace, where she explored music video production and language learning—interests that will no doubt continue to shape her future career.

Gabriel Romero-Davis

Gabriel Romero-Davis, or Gabe, became a familiar and welcoming presence at UCATT’s front desk. Whether assisting visitors, managing day-to-day operations, or stepping in wherever help was needed, Gabe’s reliability and positive attitude helped keep things running smoothly.

“There are a thousand little things that keep an office running day-to-day, and he was often the linchpin that kept UCATT running,” said Rikki Mioduski, senior communications specialist. Graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Spanish, Gabe plans to pursue a career in law enforcement, bringing the same sense of dedication and service to his next chapter.

Also graduating is Morgan Erdman, who joined the communications team during his senior year and quickly established himself as a thoughtful and skilled designer. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, Design, and Animation, Morgan demonstrated a strong ability to translate feedback into impactful visual work while developing his own creative voice.

“He approaches each project with curiosity and care, and it shows in his work,” said his supervisor, Elsa Sanchez, visual designer. Reflecting on his growth, Sanchez shared that his contributions have helped elevate communications efforts, leaving a lasting mark on the team.

Together, these students represent the talent, energy, and collaborative spirit that define UCATT’s student workforce. Their contributions, both in front of and behind the scenes, have strengthened the organization and enriched the broader campus community.

As they move forward into new opportunities, UCATT extends its sincere gratitude and congratulations. The impact of their work will continue to be felt, and their future endeavors are sure to reflect the same excellence they brought to their time at the University of Arizona.
