Our commitment to course design excellence.

The University Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology partners with Quality Matters (QM), a nonprofit quality assurance organization known for a nationally recognized set of standards for online course design.

Why Quality Matters

As a member of QM, we underscore our commitment to excellence in online education by creating courses that meet and exceed the standards outlined by Quality Matters.

The QM system is built on three foundational pillars:

  • The Rubric: A set of research-based standards for course design.
  • Professional Development: Training that empowers educators to align with Quality Matters.
  • The Review Process: A peer-driven quality assurance cycle.

As a globally recognized leader in quality assurance, QM’s integrated approach provides the essential framework and support for key academic initiatives across our campus.
