A Smooth Transition to WeVideo Interactivity
PlayPosit is transitioning to WeVideo Interactivity, following its acquisition by WeVideo. This update introduces a new name, refreshed interface, and backend improvements, while preserving existing content and workflows.
No immediate action is required. All interactive videos, student data, and course integrations will remain intact. The University of Arizona will complete the platform migration during the week of May 18, 2026.
Brightspace Integration Update (LTI 1.3)
As part of this transition, the Brightspace integration is being upgraded to LTI 1.3, improving:
- Security and data privacy
- Platform stability and long-term compatibility
- Alignment with university standards
Key change to note:
- Interactive video grades now sync automatically by default
- The option to disable grade syncing is no longer available
For ungraded activities, associated grade items should be hidden or removed in the gradebook.

- Existing bulbs, videos, and learner data are preserved
- Integration with D2L Brightspace continues without disruption
- Course links and copied content will continue to work
- No updates required to syllabi or course design
Access & Workflow
- Access continues through Brightspace using Existing Activities (recommended)
- Logging in via playposit.arizona.edu will redirect to the WeVideo platform
- Over time, access will transition to wevideo.arizona.edu
- Instructors may review content post-migration to confirm everything appears as expected
