Join the Writing Across the Curriculum team throughout the year to dive into artificial intelligence and writing pedagogy! We will explore different topics on AI and writing, specifically thinking through practical teaching approaches and using writing as a tool for learning. You are welcome to join one or all events in the AI Writing Series. If you attend 4 out of the 6, you will receive a certificate and letter for your dossier. Participants are welcome from all universities, spaces, and experience with AI and writing.
In this first workshop, we will explore fundamental concepts of writing and how artificial intelligence supports and complicates its role in the classroom. We will discuss how to support students at different stages of the writing process and how teaching writing is one of the best tools for developing critical AI literacy skills. Participants will participate in discussion and hands-on activities, leaving with practical strategies and directions.
