Buddy Buttram

Senior Instructional Technologist

Hello! I’m Buddy. I’m an Instructional Technologist supporting many of the applications that integrate with D2L. I’m passionate about providing warm, friendly, and knowledgeable support to instructors, students, and staff, and I sincerely consider it an honor to hold a role in which I can help support teaching and learning at UArizona.

I am currently a student pursuing a degree in Information Science and the Arts with a minor in Music. In my studies, I’m learning Python, SQL, Spanish language and Mexican history, music theory, recording, and anything else about computers, music, and language that challenges me to grow.

I have been playing drums since my teenage years, and I also dabble on the piano. I collect vinyl records and I can find something to love about most any style of music. I am an avid fixed-gear cyclist (if it ain’t fixed, it’s broke). I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Tucson in 2019 from Nashville, TN. I have a wife and two lovely children and enjoy the challenge of helping them learn and grow through their adolescence.

While I don’t wish any technology troubles on you, I do hope to get the opportunity to meet you and help you soon!
