Inspired by the conversations and connections sparked at the UCATT Teaching Exchange Symposium, this virtual workshop series invites participants to revisit popular sessions, explore new perspectives, and continue exchanging ideas throughout the year.

As classrooms become increasingly diverse, writing assessment practices must move beyond traditional evaluation approaches to support learning, reflection, and student voices.  This session shares insights from a year-long Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) faculty fellowship exploring how rubric design shapes whose writing gets recognized as "good" and what student data reveals when assessment shifts toward critical thinking over grammar and word count.
