Find answers to commonly asked questions about Quality Matters at U of A. 

Complete the Applying the QM Rubric workshop. After that, your name will be added to the Active Reviewers list, and each semester you will receive the QM Availability Survey inviting you to volunteer for the upcoming semester.

Please fill out the QMIR Request form, and the QM coordinator will contact you. 

After certification, we will add a QM seal and verification link to your course homepage and list your course on our website. We also encourage you to note the certification in your syllabus.
 

Refer to our QM Multi-Section Policy for guidance on certification status. You or the new instructor can request a QM seal for the new course using the request link on this page.
 

You are free to make changes as needed. All certified courses undergo recertification three years after the original review, at which point any updates can be addressed.
 

Three years after your review, a QM-trained reviewer will contact you to begin the recertification process. The reviewer will evaluate your course and work with you to ensure it still aligns with the rubric. Recertification is generally less involved than a full review, though this depends on how much the course has changed.
