Interested in learning how to build accessible and inclusive online courses? Sign up for the Inclusive Design for Everyone: Applying Standard 8 (IDE8) workshop. This workshop, developed by instructional designers at the University of Arizona, includes a deep dive into the principles and practices of Universal Design theory and offers the chance to apply this knowledge to actual courses, including your own. This workshop was designed specifically for educators working at the U of A. It is a hands-on, collaborative, and completely online two-week journey into the world of accessible, inclusive course design. If you have any experience using the QM rubric, and you would like to develop confidence in applying General Standard 8, this workshop may be a good fit for you, but you don’t need any experience with Quality Matters to participate. Please note that each participant must have a fully developed online course to review.
