Join us for our next IDEA session on October 31 at 2 p.m., where we will explore FeedbackFruits—an innovative tool designed to help you integrate feedback, incorporate peer review, and boost student engagement in your courses. This Instructor Showcase will feature Dr. Katrina Henry and Buddy Buttram, offering a practical demonstration on setting up FeedbackFruits and examples of how Dr. Henry uses the tool in her courses. A Q&A session will follow to address any questions you may have.

Dr. Katrina Henry, an Associate Professor of Practice, earned her PhD in Hydrology from New Mexico Tech in 2017, following two degrees in Physics. She began teaching at Virginia Wesleyan University, where she developed the award-winning course The Physics of Sound. In 2021, Dr. Henry joined the Environmental Science Department at the University of Arizona, where she received a CUES Fellowship and designed over 20 unique courses across various disciplines. Drawing from active learning strategies rooted in physics education research, she initially found implementing these methods cumbersome with multiple Brightspace tools. Now, as a passionate advocate for FeedbackFruits, she values its ability to streamline active learning techniques and enhance student engagement.

Buddy Buttram is an Instructional Technologist who supports various applications integrated with Brightspace. He is passionate about providing warm, friendly, and knowledgeable support to instructors, students, and staff. He considers it an honor to contribute to teaching and learning at the University of Arizona. He is pursuing a degree in Information Science and Art with a minor in Music.
