Nicole Schmidt
Nicole oversees the campus-wide online and blended course evaluation initiative and the piloting of new instructional technologies at UArizona. She is also passionate about supporting teaching and learning research and applying the latest findings to guide instructional practices which bolster student success in online and blended learning environments. Nicole earned her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona in 2020. For her dissertation research, she investigated teacher cognition and technology integration in second-language writing contexts. Before pivoting to the field of instructional design, Nicole taught graduate and undergraduate composition and English as a Second/Foreign Language in the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, and Spain.
