All graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff are invited to enroll in the upcoming 6-week NSF-funded Inclusive STEM Teaching Project course (October 2 - November 21, 2023) and optional UArizona learning community (Mondays 1-2 pm Arizona time from October 2 - November 13 on Zoom). This free 6-week asynchronous course will introduce participants to principles of inclusive teaching and help them apply these principles in tangible ways to their own teaching and learning contexts.

By participating in this course, you will learn how to:

  • Advance your awareness, self-efficacy, and ability to cultivate inclusive classroom environments
  • Support your development as a reflective, inclusive practitioner
  • Engage in reflection and discussion around topics of equity and inclusion across  a variety of institutional contexts
  • Implement inclusive teaching methods in your classes which will remove common barriers and enhance learning in STEM for all students

Learning options include:

  1. Taking the course as an independent learner
  2. Taking the course and attending a local UArizona learning community with trained facilitators once a week (Mondays 1-2 pm Arizona time from October 2 - November 13 on Zoom)
  3. Taking the course and attending the learning community as part of a 1-credit independent study. Participants will receive certificates of completion for both the course and learning community
