Amanda Tennyson is an Instructional Designer who transitioned from K-12 teaching and school counseling. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Elementary Education and Studio Art, and from Northern Arizona University in 2021 with a master's in School Counseling. Prior to joining the University Center for Assessment, Teaching, and Technology, Amanda was a middle school English Language Arts teacher and elementary school counselor. In those roles, she developed a passion for developing objectives-aligned curricula and creating meaningful, student-centered learning experiences.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys writing, teaching, and performing improv comedy, knitting, and spending time with her two small dogs.
