Phil Biggs
Phil’s past includes 40 years of experience in public education with most of that time spent leading and directing education technology at the district level. He has taught hundreds of workshops and college courses to help instructors develop creative ways to use technology in the learning process. Phil earned a B.A. Ed. from Western Washington University, a Master in Technology Leadership from the University of Oregon, and a Professional Certification in eLearning from the University of Washington.
Phil has extensive experience in educational technology planning and implementation and district-wide professional development programs. He has served on the board of TIE Colorado, organized regional professional learning teams, and presented at multiple conferences in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado. He was awarded Technology Leader of the Year by the Northwest Council on Computers in Education as well as numerous local awards. His skills include web development, video production, coding, network administration, and a deep understanding of the learning and assessment process. Phil is passionate about his desire to use technology to enhance and improve student learning.
When not working, Phil can be found out in the garden, road, and mountain biking around Tucson, and finding new ways to cook healthy food!
